Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian chaired a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, which discussed the council’s approaches and priorities during the tenure of the 14th government.
The meeting, held on Tuesday in Tehran, assessed cultural issues including the culture of work, Iranian-Islamic lifestyle, and national integration, among others, discussing ways to promote them.
The president said that the council is better to prioritize several issues, instead of dealing with all issues, and then put its focus on those specific issues, trying to resolve them through creating common understanding.
“When multiple goals are pursued simultaneously, it means that none of them will be realized”, Pezeshkian said, adding that if the council approves some documents, but they are not implemented, it would be of no use.
President Pezeshkian also said, like his predecessors, he will not be in the post permanently. But the establishment exists and continues to move forward, therefore nothing should be done that would lead to decreasing social assets, he added.
Further in his remarks, the president emphasized the need for efforts to realize the goals of the Islamic Revolution and those set by the general policies of the Islamic system.
One of the reasons behind the failure to realize those goals is that various groups are against each other instead of trying to have dialog and reach a common view, Pezeshkian concluded.
