Hojjat al-Islam Khosrowpanah stated that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution is a decision-making institution in the realms of culture and higher education, tasked with enhancing the scientific and cultural standards of the country and promoting international academic cooperation. He further emphasized the council’s commitment to fostering global scholarly interactions.
The Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University also presented an overview of the university’s various faculties and departments during the meeting. Dr. Giridhar Malaviya noted the institution's acceptance of students from diverse countries, particularly highlighting the presence of Iranian students, especially in the field of pharmacy.
Additionally, the capabilities of the Persian Language and Literature Department at Banaras Hindu University were discussed. The university boasts faculty members specializing in Persian language and literature and offers graduate and doctoral programs in this discipline. Officials from BHU expressed their desire to expand academic and scientific collaborations with Iran and proposed that presidents of Iranian universities, under the coordination of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, visit Banaras Hindu University to explore potential partnerships.
