Emphasising the importance of compiling a comprehensive scientific, defence and security document in the complete strategy of the armed forces and military authority based on the country's defence needs, the President said that the main purpose of compiling this document is to use the existing capacities in scientific and technological centres and the scientific potential of elites for strengthening of the country's defence power, as well as the establishment of a coherent and systematic relationship and cooperation between scientific and academic centres with the military and armed forces.
The 832th session of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution was held on Wednesday, chaired by Dr. Hassan Rouhani.
Emphasising that culture played a very important role in the 8 years of Holy Defence, the President said, "The main factor of endurance, resistance and victory in the 8 years of defence was culture, especially the religious and doctrinal culture of the children of this land, and the Holy Defence created a culture of jihad, self-sacrifice and martyrdom".
The second session of the Strategic Policies and Surge in Production Action Plan related to the field of culture, science and technology was held on Tuesday at the 830th session of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution chaired by President Dr Hassan Rouhani and attended by the heads of the legislature and judiciary.
Emphasising that coronavirus is not over yet and we will be dealing with it at least until the end of the year, the President said, "Care and observance of health protocols should still be on everyone's agenda and they should avoid attending unnecessary gatherings."
Referring to the forecast of many experts on three-digit inflation in the year 1398 due to the pressure of sanctions, the President said, "Despite these forecasts, the inflation rate has been declining since the mid-1398 and the growth rate has become positive, and this is evidence that when we join hands, even if the heavy pressure of sanctions is accompanied by the severe effects of coronavirus, we can still run the country well".
The President described the Islamic Consultative Assembly a symbol of Islamic and religious democracy in the country and emphasised, "The term of office of the government and the Majlis is four years and short, but with cooperation we can leave a lasting memory for decades and even centuries for the people”.
In a message on the occasion of World Quds Day, the President emphasised the unchangeable principle of "Al-Quds, the capital of Palestine" and said, "Holding the ceremony for defending the oppressed people of Palestine on the last Friday of Ramadan is a good tradition named Quds Day, and is the symbol of the perseverance, unity and empathy of Muslims in defending Islamic ideals".
